WSGNA: Wisconsin Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates

About the WSGNA

We're beginning our 21st year!  We are a professional organization comprising more than 200 nurses and other healthcare providers from around the state of Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa and Ohio.  We function in administrative, clinical, educational, and/or research roles in the management of individuals with gastrointestinal health issues.

This organization is a regional chapter of the national organization - SGNA - the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates. To maintain our charter, we offer a minimum of six educational hours each fiscal year. This year our offerings consist of the 21st Annual WSGNA Regional Spring Conference at Wausau, WI on Friday & Saturday, April 20-21; our participation in the 34th Annual SGNA Conference in Baltimore, MD on May 18-23; and our Multi-regional conference in Kalamazoo, MI in October.

WSGNA publishes a quarterly newsletter for our membership - WSGNA NEWS - and we were the first regional society to go online in mid 1996.

Each year WSGNA gives out educational scholarships and several free memberships to the national organization. To be a member of the regional society, you must join the national society. Click here to learn more about how to become a member.
